Every 2027 Rockwood Ultra Lite floor plan
How the Ultra Lite plans group by length and layout
Seven Ultra Lites run 29 ft 8 in to 29 ft 10 in; two sit at 32 ft 10 in and 32 ft 11 in, and two at 35 ft 4 in. The short group comes in three shapes: a front kitchen with a rear bedroom (301FKT, 2608BS, 2619FK), a rear dinette with a front bedroom (302RDT, 2618RD), and a full-width rear bath (2621RB with a front bedroom, 2623MBR with a mid bedroom).
The longer plans do what the short ones do not. The 2706BH is the bunkhouse, sleeping up to 7. The 2711RK puts the kitchen on the rear wall. The 2916RL and 2921RL are rear-living plans, one with the kitchen in a slide, the other with two hide-a-beds in facing slides.
Ultra Lite standouts, by the published numbers
The 301FKT is the lightest at 6,048 lb and carries the most, 2,487 lb of cargo capacity. The 2618RD has the lowest hitch weight, 674 lb, and the lowest GVWR of the nine on record, 8,474 lb. The 2921RL puts the smallest share of its weight on the hitch, 10.1%, despite ranking 10 of 11 by dry weight. At the other end, the 2711RK publishes the highest hitch weight, 1,010 lb, the 2916RL is the heaviest at 8,348 lb, and the 2706BH pairs the most sleeping capacity with the least cargo capacity, 1,539 lb. Every plan has a 54 gal fresh tank; seven carry 90 gal of gray and four carry 45 gal.
What Forest River's Ultra Lite figures cover
Forest River labels the dry weight (UVW) and cargo carrying capacity (CCC) of every Ultra Lite as estimated averages based on standard build optional equipment, so the weight label on the trailer itself governs. Published hitch weight is an empty-trailer figure. Sleeping capacity, slide count, and GVWR come from RVUSA's 2027 guide and are cited on each record that uses them; RVUSA's GVWR for the 2916RL does not equal Forest River's UVW plus CCC. Room descriptions come from the labels on Forest River's drawings, read on 2026-09-26. The 301FKT and 302RDT are published 5 in and 4 in wider than the other nine's 96 in.
The Ultra Lite beside the other travel-trailer lines
The Rockwood Mini Lite is the same Forest River family in a smaller size: 13 plans from 22 ft 2 in to 25 ft 10 in and 4,472 to 6,123 lb dry. The heaviest Mini Lite, the 2523MBR, outweighs the lightest Ultra Lite, the 301FKT, by only 75 lb, and four Ultra Lite records compare against a Mini Lite with a comparable layout. Keystone's Coleman line tops out at the 25B, 29 ft 5 in and 5,548 lb dry, which is 3 in shorter than the shortest Ultra Lites and 500 lb lighter than the lightest. Airstream's two Basecamp plans are both 20 ft 2 in. Every line is listed on the travel-trailer index.
