2711RK: rear kitchen, front king, 32 ft 11 in

Forest River's drawing runs the kitchen across the rear wall: pantry, microwave, cooktop, sink, and overhead cabinets. The off-door slide beside it carries the fridge, a 52-inch theater seat, and a 90 by 76 inch sectional with storage below, labelled the GlideLink Sectional System with the note No Dismantling. Across the aisle are a fireplace, a pullout table and chairs, and a Televator TV.

Forward of the entry, the 72 by 80 inch king sits in its own off-door slide, opposite a dresser with overhead cabinets and a spot for an optional TV. The bath is at the very front, with shower, toilet, and sink, beside a wardrobe closet and washer and dryer prep. The drawing also labels a fridge on the outside of the door-side rear, and a 24 ft 6 in awning.

It ranks 9 of 11 on length and on dry weight, at 7,703 lb. Its 9,805 lb GVWR (8 of 9 lowest) leaves 2,102 lb over dry weight, 3 of 9 by margin, and the published cargo carrying capacity is the same 2,102 lb, fourth highest of eleven. At 11 ft 7 in it shares the tallest published height with the 302RDT and 2916RL, 1 ft 11 in under a 13 ft 6 in clearance. RVUSA lists two slides and sleeping for 3.

2711RK walkthrough from the rear kitchen forward

  1. Stand at the rear kitchen and open the pantry and overhead cabinets. The fridge is in the slide beside the sectional rather than next to the cooktop, so check the walk between them with the slide in.
  2. Work the GlideLink sectional through its positions. Forest River labels it 90 by 76 inches with storage below and notes that it needs no dismantling; open the storage with the slide both in and out.
  3. Raise the Televator TV and pull out the table and chairs on the door side. Both share the wall across from the sectional, so try them together.
  4. At the front, open the washer and dryer prep space beside the bath. Appliances there sit at the hitch end, on the plan that already publishes the highest hitch weight in the line.

The 2711RK's 1,010 lb hitch figure in context

The 2711RK is last of eleven by hitch weight, and its 1,010 lb is 13.1% of dry weight, tied with the 2608BS for the highest share in the line. The 2916RL, 2 ft 5 in longer, weighs 645 lb more yet publishes 90 lb less at the hitch.

That figure is for an empty trailer. This plan's front end holds the bath, the wardrobe closet, the washer and dryer prep, and the king; the rear holds the kitchen. Whatever gets added up front, appliances in the prep space especially, raises the tongue load above the published number, and this plan starts from the highest published figure of the eleven. Where the heavy items ride is worth planning before the first trip.

Sources and model year

2711RK sources, and one figure RVUSA reports differently

Length, height, dry weight, hitch weight, cargo capacity, tanks, the awning, and the room layout come from Forest River's 2027 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2711RK page and drawing, read on 2026-09-26. Forest River labels UVW and CCC as estimated averages based on standard build optional equipment, so the label on the unit governs. GVWR, sleeping capacity, and slide count come from RVUSA's 2027 spec guide. That guide gives the 2711RK a slightly higher dry weight than Forest River's UVW; this page uses Forest River's figure, and every rank here is built on it.
