2916RL: living room at the back, kitchen in the slide
Forest River's drawing gives the rear wall to a 78-inch hide-a-bed under overhead cabinets. The off-door slide beside it is the kitchen: overhead cabinets, microwave and cooktop, and the fridge, with a TV and fireplace labelled alongside. In the middle of the floor is an island with the sink, and the pantry is just forward of it. Opposite, a door-side slide holds a 60-inch theater seat and a 39-inch dinette, with a table and chairs as an option.
A mid bath with shower, toilet, overhead cabinet, and linen cabinet leads to the front bedroom: a 60 by 80 inch queen, a wardrobe, a second wardrobe with washer and dryer prep, and pass-through storage at both front corners with optional steel sliding trays. The drawing shows a 12 ft awning on the door side and a 10 ft awning on the door-side slide, and it carries the Power Package badge.
RVUSA lists sleeping for 5 and two slides. The 2916RL shares its 35 ft 4 in length with the 2921RL, and the two are the longest plans in the line. It is the only Ultra Lite drawn with a freestanding sink island, and one of four with the smaller 45 gal gray tank.
Forest River's 2027 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2916RL page and drawing →2916RL: where RVUSA and Forest River disagree
Length, height, dry weight, hitch weight, cargo capacity, tanks, both awnings, and the room layout come from Forest River's 2027 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2916RL page and drawing, read on 2026-09-26. Forest River labels UVW and CCC as estimated averages based on standard build optional equipment, so the weight label on the unit is the figure to go by.
RVUSA's 2027 spec guide, the source for sleeping capacity and slide count here, disagrees with Forest River on two weights. Its GVWR for this plan does not equal Forest River's dry weight plus cargo capacity, which add up to 10,499 lb (arithmetic from the two published figures). Its dry weight also differs from Forest River's UVW. The 8,348 lb used on this page, and every rank built on it, is Forest River's.

Same 35 ft 4 in, 205 lb lighter and 100 lb lighter at the hitch, and sleeps 6 instead of 5, but carries 331 lb less cargo. A TV and fireplace take the rear wall, two 60-inch hide-a-beds sit in facing slides, and a theater seat and bar-stool table stand mid-floor.
Open record →2 ft 5 in shorter, kitchen at the rearRockwood Ultra Lite 2711RK645 lb lighter but 90 lb heavier at the hitch, with 49 lb less cargo capacity. A rear kitchen and GlideLink sectional replace the rear living room, a 72 by 80 inch king replaces the queen, and it sleeps 3.
Open record →What to check in a 2916RL's kitchen slide and rear living room
- With the off-door slide in, reach the fridge and the microwave. The kitchen's appliances ride in that slide, so find out what can be opened at a travel stop.
- Walk around the sink island with both slides out. It sits mid-floor between the kitchen slide and the dinette slide, so measure the aisles on each side.
- Open the 78-inch hide-a-bed across the rear wall and see how far it reaches toward the island.
- Set the 45 gal gray tank against the 54 gal fresh tank: gray is 9 gal smaller, arithmetic from the two published figures, on a plan that sleeps 5.
