The 2623MBR puts the bedroom in the middle
Forest River's drawing splits the trailer into three rooms. At the front, a kitchen with sink and overhead cabinets spans the front wall, with the pantry, microwave, and cooktop close by and a TV on the door side. An off-door slide behind it carries a 67-inch theater seat and the fridge, with a 68-inch hide-a-bed drawn as an option.
The middle of the trailer is the bedroom. The king sits in its own off-door slide under overhead cabinets, and across the aisle are a wardrobe, a dresser, a spot marked for an optional TV, and washer and dryer prep. The rear is the bath, running the full width with a linen cabinet, shower, toilet, and two sinks. The drawing also labels a fridge on the outside of the door-side rear wall, and a 22 ft awning over the single Solid Step entry.
RVUSA lists two slides and sleeping for 2, the fewest in the line alongside the 301FKT. On the drawing the bedroom sits between the living area and the bath, so the bedroom and bath together take the rear half of the trailer, and a guest on the optional hide-a-bed walks past the king to reach the bath. Against the 2618RD, the only other plan at 29 ft 9 in, the 2623MBR is 519 lb heavier and 241 lb heavier at the hitch.

Read together, those rows say the 2623MBR is the heaviest of the seven shortest Ultra Lites and carries less cargo than every plan but the bunkhouse. Two people get a king, a full-width bath, washer and dryer prep, and a 90 gal gray tank, and the scale reflects all of it.

Mid bedroom or not: 2623MBR alternatives
Forest River's Mini Lite 2523MBR draws the same arrangement in 25 ft 9 in: front kitchen, a theater-seat slide with the fridge, a mid bedroom slide, and a rear bath. It uses a 60 by 80 inch queen instead of the king, weighs 950 lb less at 6,123 lb, carries 170 lb less at the hitch, sleeps 3, and has 20 lb less cargo capacity. Its gray tank holds 58 gal against 90.
Open record →A king for two, 1,025 lb lighterRockwood Ultra Lite 301FKT1 in longer, 1,025 lb lighter, and 180 lb lighter at the hitch, with 845 lb more cargo capacity, the most in the line. The king moves to the rear wall and the bath becomes a split room mid-trailer.
Open record →Rear bath, bed at the frontRockwood Ultra Lite 2621RB1 in shorter and 300 lb lighter, 175 lb lighter at the hitch, with 125 lb more cargo capacity. It keeps a full-width rear bath but puts a 66 by 80 inch RV king in a front bedroom, with the kitchen and living area between.

- From the entry, look forward into the kitchen. The drawing shows two chairs at a door-side counter by the TV and labels no dinette, so sit at that counter and judge it as the place meals happen.
- Walk back into the bedroom with the king's slide in. The bed and the wardrobe, dresser, and washer and dryer prep face each other across the aisle, and every trip to the bath passes between them.
- If a washer and dryer are going into the prep space, set their weight against the 1,642 lb cargo capacity before anything else is packed, since installed appliances count against it.
- Finish at the rear bath, the only two-sink bath on an Ultra Lite drawing, then step outside to the fridge labelled on the door-side rear wall.
What the 2623MBR page draws on
Length, dry weight, hitch weight, cargo capacity, tanks, the awning, and every room position come from Forest River's 2027 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2623MBR page and drawing, read on 2026-09-26. Forest River labels UVW and CCC as estimated averages based on standard build optional equipment, so the unit's own weight label governs. GVWR, sleeping capacity, and slide count come from RVUSA's 2027 spec guide. The Mini Lite comparison uses the figures on that plan's record.
