Seven sleepers against 1,539 lb: the 2706BH's trade
RVUSA counts sleeping for up to 7 in the 2706BH, the most of any Ultra Lite and one more than the 2921RL. It does that in 32 ft 10 in and 7,085 lb dry, 8 of 11 on both length and weight. What it gives up is carrying capacity. Forest River publishes 1,539 lb of cargo capacity, last of eleven, and the 8,624 lb GVWR leaves that same 1,539 lb over dry weight, the smallest margin among the nine plans with a GVWR on record. With a full complement of people, food, bedding, and water on board, that is the number to plan around.
It is also the only Ultra Lite with one slide on record; every other plan with a slide count has two. Hitch weight is middling at 824 lb, 6 of 11, which is 11.6% of dry weight and the fifth lowest share.
Forest River's drawing puts the bunks in the door-side rear corner with a fridge in the bunk area and storage beside them, and a bath with shower, toilet, and sink in the off-door rear corner. Outside, the door-side rear carries an outside kitchen with a pull-out griddle. The single slide, off-door and mid-trailer, holds a 60-inch theater seat and a 44 by 81 inch U-dinette under overhead cabinets, with options for a 60-inch hide-a-bed and for a table and chairs. The door side has a TV, fireplace, and shelves unit, a second fridge, a walk-in pantry, and the cooktop, microwave, and sink. The front bedroom has a 60 by 80 inch queen with a wardrobe on each side, and two Solid Step entries serve the living area and the bedroom under a 24 ft 6 in awning.

- Lie on both 48 by 76 inch bunks. RVUSA's count of 7 rests on more than the bunks and the queen, so ask the dealer which seats in the unit convert to beds.
- Pull out the griddle in the outside kitchen at the door-side rear, then find the fridge drawn in the bunk area just inside that wall and decide what each fridge is for.
- With the slide in, walk from the front bedroom to the bunks. The theater seat and U-dinette both ride in that one slide, so the in-transit aisle is the whole path between the two sleeping ends.
- Weigh the family's gear before the first trip. At 1,539 lb, the published cargo capacity also has to cover whatever is in the 54 gal fresh tank.

Open record →Where the 2706BH figures come from
Length, height, dry weight, hitch weight, cargo capacity, tanks, the awning, and the room layout come from Forest River's 2027 Rockwood Ultra Lite 2706BH page and drawing, read on 2026-09-26. Forest River labels UVW and CCC as estimated averages based on standard build optional equipment, so read the weight label on the actual trailer. GVWR, sleeping capacity, and slide count come from RVUSA's 2027 spec guide. The Mini Lite comparison uses the figures on that plan's record.
