2520BH: second for sleepers and second for cargo
Bunk corner and bike door at the back of the 2520BH
Forest River's drawing splits the rear of the 2520BH in two. On the wall opposite the door, a 36 by 71 inch top bunk sits over a 36 by 71 inch bottom bunk that flips up, and a bike door opens beside them. The other rear corner is the bathroom, with a curved shower, toilet, lavatory, and linen cabinet. The kitchen runs down the door side: refrigerator, range, and microwave on the wall, with an island holding the sink and a TV. A pantry stands at the foot of the bed.
Across from the kitchen, the only box the drawing shows holds a 44 by 85 inch U-dinette, and RVUSA lists one slide. Forest River offers two replacements for it: a 78-inch hide-a-bed with a table, or a 78-inch theater seat with a table. Up front, the 60 by 74 inch queen has flip-up storage, a wardrobe on each side, and an optional TV. The awning is 18 ft.
Six sleepers, one 29-gallon gray tank
The reason to shortlist the 2520BH is that it carries a family of up to 6 with the second-highest cargo capacity in the line and a dry weight that sits mid-pack at 5,533 lb. Its hitch weight is 11.9% of dry weight, lower as a share than the 2509S's 12.6%.
The tradeoff is the tank package. The 2520BH has the line's smaller 29-gallon gray tank behind a 53-gallon fresh tank, 24 gallons less gray than fresh; that is arithmetic from the two published figures. Four Mini Lites carry 58 gallons of gray, but none of them sleeps more than 4. Every extra person aboard adds shower and dish water to that tank, so a family that camps without hookups should plan dump stops around it.
Walking the 2520BH from bike door to queen
- Open the bike door and flip up the 36 by 71 inch bottom bunk. See what fits in that space through the door, and where the bottom mattress goes while it is stowed.
- Have whoever will sleep in the bunks lie on both. At 71 inches long, the bunks are the dimension that decides who fits.
- Sit at the 44 by 85 inch U-dinette and ask whether this unit has it or one of the 78-inch options. RVUSA's rating of 6 is a figure for the plan; the seating on the lot unit decides where six people actually sleep and eat.
- Ask for the slide to be brought in, then walk from the bunks past the island to the queen. The island stands in the aisle between the kitchen wall and the dinette box.

Dimensions, weights, tanks, and the layout come from Forest River's 2027 Rockwood Mini Lite 2520BH figures and floor-plan drawing. Forest River marks the dry weight (UVW) and cargo carrying capacity (CCC) as estimated averages based on standard build optional equipment. Sleeping capacity and slide count are RVUSA's 2027 figures. RVUSA's guide also shows a somewhat higher dry weight than Forest River's UVW and a GVWR that does not match UVW plus CCC, which comes to 7,660 lb by addition, so this page keeps Forest River's weights.
