Heaviest in the family, seventh-lightest on the pin
The 360MBI tops the Cougar lineup at 12,499 lb dry, 459 lb more than the 350LLK it shares a 39 ft 3 in length with, and 830 lb more than the 364BHL. Its published hitch weight is 2,200 lb. Set that against the dry weight and the pin carries 17.6%, 7 of 16 lowest in the family, a smaller share than the 260MLE at 30 ft 11 in. Carrying capacity is 2,501 lb, 3 of 16 highest, and it sleeps 10, 3 of 16, on four slides, a count only the 350LLK matches. Tanks are the plain-subline 75, 76, and 38 gallons, 189 in total, and 9 in of a 40-foot pad remain unused.
Keystone's tagline is 'Bonus Room w/ Loft, Island Kitchen'. Named features: the bonus room with a loft sleeping area, an island kitchen with a black stainless undermount sink and a high-rise chef's faucet, solid surface counters, hardwood cabinets with soft-close hinges, a 5,500 BTU fireplace with remote, a 16 cu ft refrigerator, a 21-inch range with glass stovetop, a queen bed with underbed storage, a full bathroom with a large shower, glass door, and skylight, two electric awnings with LED lighting, tall slide-outs, and Keystone's Climate Guard package.

Two rooms that each cost something
An island kitchen needs a walkway on every side of the island, and a fifth wheel only has that walkway when the slides are out. Retract them and the island becomes the thing you walk around to get from the entry to the bedroom. That is the first tradeoff, and it is why the 350LLK, at the same length and with the same four slides, puts its kitchen at the rear instead.
The second is the bonus room. Keystone names a loft sleeping area inside it, and a loft is a sleeping place measured in headroom rather than mattress size; who sleeps up there, how they climb, and how much room they get are walkthrough questions. Keystone's sleeping figure of 10 counts the loft, and the walkthrough decides what that count is worth.
Where 12,499 lb lands in the ranks
If sleeping 10 is the requirement
The four Cougars that sleep 10 do it four different ways. The other three are below, with differences computed from the published figures.
3 in shorter and 830 lb lighter, with one slide fewer and 170 lb less carrying capacity at 2,331 lb. Its published pin weight is 131 lb higher at 2,331 lb, the heaviest in the lineup, and it carries a 76-gallon waste tank for a 227-gallon total. Keystone gives it one and a half baths where the 360MBI names one full bathroom.
Open record →Mid bunk and rear kitchen on a Half-Ton bodyCougar Half-Ton 29MBD5 ft 4 in shorter, 3,174 lb lighter, 565 lb lighter on the pin, two slides instead of four, and 326 lb less carrying capacity at 2,175 lb. Its tanks total 144 gallons against 189. RVUSA lists an 11,500 lb GVWR for it.
Open record →Triple bunks in a private bunk room, Sport sublineCougar Sport 2700BHThe lightest way to sleep 10 in the Cougar name: 7 ft 4 in shorter, 4,699 lb lighter, 765 lb lighter on the pin, one slide, and 401 lb less carrying capacity at 2,100 lb. It carries 54, 60, and 30 gallon tanks, 144 in total.
Open record →Kitchen island, then upstairs
A chain, because each step depends on the slide position set in the one before.
- With all four slides retracted, walk from the entry door around the island to the bedroom and to the full bathroom. This is the fuel-stop route on an island-kitchen plan, and the island is fixed.
- Extend the slides and stand at the island sink with the high-rise faucet running, then count how many people fit around the island at once, since that number is the reason to pick an island over a wall kitchen.
- Climb into the loft. Measure the headroom and the mattress space, find the ladder or steps, and decide who in the family will use it, because the sleeping figure of 10 assumes someone will.
- Close the bonus room door with the loft occupied and see what the room below the loft is for. Keystone calls it a bonus room, and its use, sleeping, storage, or an office, is the buyer's call; whatever goes in it counts against the 2,501 lb of carrying capacity.
