Kitchen at the back, bunk in the middle, king bed named as master

Keystone's tagline is "Rear Kitchen, Mid Bunk with King Master Bed". The feature list names a rear kitchen with booth dinette, a mid-bunk, a 70 by 80 inch king bed with underbed storage, a theater seat tri-fold sofa on a tall slide-out, a shower with glass door and skylight, a vanity with drawers, 18K and 15K BTU air conditioners, a 30K BTU furnace, a tankless water heater, axles with ABS, dual-pane frameless windows, and slide toppers. RVUSA counts two slides.

Sleeping capacity of 10 ranks 1 of 16 in the family, a figure it shares with the 2700BH, the 360MBI, and the 364BHL. Of those four it is the only Cougar Half-Ton, and it is 1,525 lb heavier than the 2700BH and 2,344 lb lighter than the 364BHL. Dry weight is 9,325 lb (7 of 16 lightest); hitch weight 1,635 lb (6 of 16), a 17.5% share of dry weight that ranks 6 of 16 lowest. RVUSA's GVWR is 11,500 lb, 5 of 8 lowest, and the 2,175 lb it leaves over dry weight is also Keystone's carrying-capacity figure, 10 of 16.

Bunk, kitchen, sofa, bed: the chain to walk

  1. Mid bunk: measure each bunk mattress and the headroom over it, then close whatever separates the bunk from the aisle. A bunk in the middle of the plan sits on the path between the two ends of the trailer.
  2. Rear kitchen: sit in the booth dinette and count who fits. With 10 published sleepers, the dinette is a table first and, if it converts, part of the count second.
  3. Tri-fold sofa: fold it out on the tall slide-out and measure it. It is the other named convertible seat, and it and the dinette carry whatever the king bed and the bunk do not.
  4. King bed and vanity: lift the 70 by 80 inch mattress for the underbed storage and count the vanity drawers. Ten people's belongings are measured against 2,175 lb.

What a rear kitchen and a mid bunk each ask for

A rear kitchen puts the appliances and the booth dinette behind the axles, at the opposite end of the trailer from the hitch. Food and cookware for ten go back there too, and the published 17.5% pin share is a ratio of two empty-trailer figures, not a loaded one. A mid bunk means the bunk is between the two ends, and with only the king bed and the bunk named as beds, the tri-fold sofa and the dinette carry the rest of the ten.

The number that ties the two together is 2,175 lb of carrying capacity, 10 of 16 in the family, 75 lb more than the 2700BH and 156 lb less than the 364BHL. Among the four ten-sleepers only the 2700BH publishes less, and it is the figure a family of ten packs against.

Where 10 comes from, and where the rest does

The sleeping capacity of 10, along with length, dry and hitch weight, carrying capacity, tanks, and the 12 ft 8 in height, is Keystone's, from the 2027 Cougar Half-Ton 29MBD floor-plan page: figures read on 2026-08-15, tagline and feature list on 2026-09-12. RVUSA's 2027 guide supplies the 11,500 lb GVWR and the slide count of 2. Keystone's height is one number that includes the roof air conditioners; the record labels it height with A/C. The margin and the pin share here are subtraction and division on those figures.
