331BH: loft bed at the rear, queen up front, two toilets
Forest River's drawing for the 331BH gives the rear to sleeping space: a 60 x 80 loft bed with a loft cabinet, reached by a ladder, and a 54 x 74 bed beside it. A second bath with a toilet and medicine cabinet sits just forward of that corner, next to a pantry, so the back of the trailer has its own toilet. Outside, the same corner holds an outside kitchen labeled with a refrigerator, ice, and an overhead cabinet.
The middle is kitchen and living. An island carries the sink, a slide on the off-door side holds the 12V refrigerator, microwave, and range, and a door-side slide holds a tri-fold sofa and a dinette facing an angled entertainment center with TV and fireplace. Up the step at the front are a pantry and hutch, the main bath with its shower, and a bedroom with a 60 x 80 queen between two wardrobes.
At 38 ft 3 in it is 2 of 4 on length, on dry weight (9,914 lb), on GVWR (11,845 lb), and on hitch weight (1,645 lb). Its hitch weight is 16.6% of dry weight, 1 of 4 lowest, and below the 18.3% of the shorter, lighter 285OPT.

The 331BH tradeoff: rear loft, thinnest margin at 1,931 lb
GVWR minus dry weight on the 331BH is 1,931 lb, which is also its published cargo capacity and the smallest of the four (4 of 4). The 285OPT, 4 ft shorter, carries 76 lb more. A plan drawn to put people in a loft, in a rear bed, and in a front queen is the one where bedding, food, and gear for all of them add up fastest, and it starts with the least room for that load.
Water counts against the same figure. Traveling with the 81-gallon fresh tank full uses part of the 1,931 lb before anything else goes aboard, which is a reason to plan fills at the destination on this plan more than on its siblings.
Walk the 331BH from loft ladder to front queen
- Start at the rear and climb the loft ladder. Check the space between the 60 x 80 loft mattress and the ceiling, and where the ladder goes when it is not in use.
- Lie on the 54 x 74 bed beside the loft. It is 6 inches narrower and 6 inches shorter than the front queen, arithmetic from the two drawn sizes.
- Open the rear half bath door with the ladder in place and see whether both can be used at the same time.
- Bring both slides in and walk from the entry to the front step. The island sits between the two slide faces, and this is the aisle you get at every fuel stop.
Three Arctic Wolfs to set beside the 331BH
Swaps the loft for a rear bunk room with a 28 x 72 bunk and 32 x 72 double bunks, drops to one slide, and weighs 1,336 lb less. Cargo capacity is 76 lb higher at 2,007 lb, but the black tank halves to 35 gal and there is one bath.
