Sectional at the rear, island in the middle: reading the 38LEAH.G drawing
Forest River's drawing puts the living room at the rear: a sectional sofa in a rear slide, a storage ottoman, and a desk in the corner under an overhead cabinet. The off-door slide holds the entertainment center with a fireplace, a pantry, a 30" microwave, and two 10 cu. ft. refrigerators. Across from it the island carries the sink and a dishwasher, four chairs are drawn at it, and a pull-up countertop extension is labeled at its forward end.
Forward of the kitchen, a mid-trailer bay holds a closet labeled washer/dryer with a flip-up laundry shelf, plus a half bath. Steps lead up to the bedroom, where a 72 x 80 king rides in its own slide with a projector labeled on the wall behind it, facing a second fireplace and a dresser. The full bath is in the front cap with a shower and a beauty station, beside hanging space, a dresser, and shelves. Outside, the drawing shows an ice maker and a fridge between two storage doors.

Forest River labels the GVWR on its 2026 page for this plan as an estimated average based on a standard build. That matters more here than on the siblings, because this plan's lead over them rests on the gap between GVWR and dry weight: 15,335 lb less 12,563 lb is 2,772 lb, which is also the published cargo capacity. The certification label on the trailer being bought is the number to plan around.
38LEAH.G: 4 of 4 on size, 1 of 4 on margin
Size is the tradeoff. An island kitchen with a dishwasher, a laundry bay, a half bath, and a rear living room all need floor, and the 38LEAH.G spends 43 ft 6 in on it, the most in the family. A rear living room does not leave it light at the pin on paper either: its 18.8% hitch share is the highest of the four, and at 162 in its published exterior height equals 13 ft 6 in.
Four checks for the 38LEAH.G island and laundry bay
- Raise the pull-up countertop extension and count the chairs that fit around the island. It is the only dining surface on the drawing; there is no dinette.
- Open the washer/dryer closet and ask whether machines are installed on this unit or only the space, then try the flip-up laundry shelf beside it.
- Open the half bath door with someone on the steps; both sit in the same mid-trailer bay.
- Close the bedroom slide and check whether the king bed, the front bath, and the hanging space can still be reached.
